Food Glorious Food

A lot of guests comment on the yummy breakfast. So here it is! Local rare breed Saddleback bacon, farmhouse sausage from Walls the butcher at Craven Arms and eggs from Clun Farm .  There are a selection of Kellogg's cereals, Alpen, prunes, grapefruit and apricots as well as local Welsh yogurts and Greek yogurt.  How could you resist! All included in the B&B tariff.  Served from 8.00 - 9.00am on weekdays and 8.00 - 9.30am on weekends and Bank Holidays.

A Good Year

2011 was a busy year and proved to have the 'best ever' occupancy of all the 14 years I have been at the hotel. Now that all the bathrooms have been re-furbished I have tried to upgrade the rooms with a few small improvements.  You will notice new thermostats on the radiators, which will enable you to control the heat in your room.  Two rooms have new beds and six rooms have new headboards.  I have added new cushions, some new furniture and photos of local scenes. The top floor has just had all the doors replaced, new carpets and a coat of paint. Now the decorators are just finishing the stairs and landing. Megan

This is Megan.  Resident of the Cliffe Hotel since November 2005. She's a great guard dog and sits proudly on her podium watching the comings and goings of guests and tradesmen. She loves her walks in the fields around the hotel and even better a chase with her friend Archie, the chocolate Labrador, on a forest walk. Her favourite treat is coming into the bar at the end of the evening and running under the tables to see if any scraps of food have been dropped....should have called her Dyson!

Spring Lambs

On Sunday we had a visit from two orphaned lambs. Here they are on the patio sharing a bottle. Their visit made a perfect ending for the Christening Party that had been to the hotel for Sunday Lunch......lamb? No we had beef!
